Sometimes I wonder if I should just concede, if I should just stop fighting with everyone and stop stating my opposing opinion. It'd be easier on them, easier on me and perhaps an easier life.
But as my very good friend points out, a person needs to be present in their life in order to be who they are. If I just live my life in agreement with everyone else's life and opinions, then I'm just living their life, right? It's when I try to be a present person that I hit the difficulties; apparently others aren't present in their own lives and don't speak up about what they really think.
I did, however, get a thank you from a friend for my angry post. That made me realize that people can't and don't always speak up when they want to; perhaps I'm being the voice of the masses!
Ah, whatever - it's really not so noble and my angry post was more of a rant than a point (although there was a point). I just hope I don't regret being so vocal about my opposition; it may bite me in the ass.
