My out-of-town trip was fun. It always invigorates me to travel. I love smelling the air, checking out the scenery, watching the natives and stopping at gas stations I've never heard of. I love to remember that the world is bigger than me and my mundane patterns, even when I haven't traveled out of state. I love how the new places I visit remind me of other places I've been, connecting the memories in my mind like a travelogue of my life.

I'd love to travel more, more often, and not necessarily to more distant places or for lengthier periods of time. I'd like to travel just enough to appreciate the newness regularly, perhaps to state parks or local attractions, who knows.

I don't schedule traveling, however. Instead I try to fit it in in the cracks and spaces of my life. I don't know if that makes it better or worse when I do travel. I say as long as I keep moving and exploring, that's what's important.
