Bad, sad news.

Well, as we all know, things happen that are out of our control. For myself and for my boyfriend, a horrible thing has happened in computer-land: his server crashed, completely.
Since his server hosts my site, for me this means I've lost about six months worth of thoughts and writings. For him, however, this means he's lost six months worth of work and the building of his web-world empire. Needless to say, it was a bad weekend for him.
I'm sad that I lost what I've lost. If you try to visit anything I've posted between January and June, you'll get nothing - it's disappeared. I've had a few moments of reflective silence, but for the most part, I think just the fact that I pondered and wrote my thoughts at least once is peace enough for me. I do hope all my loyal readers got to read everything once as well.
For the future, perhaps I'll start printing up my posts, that way if this ever happens again (please - NO!) I'll have hard copies to reference. Otherwise, I guess I choose to look at it as "nothing lasts forever" and go forward from there, knowing I'll have just as many great thoughts in the future as I did in the past.
