I am few days (weeks) behind, but for the Lenten season this year I was inspired to take a different approach. Instead of attempting to deny myself of bad things, I attempted to fill myself with good things. In hindsight I'd like to admit: this is not any easier.

Why is it so difficult to give ourselves helpful, life-inspiring and positive things? Why is it so much easier to give in to our weaknesses and beat ourselves up - physically, emotionally, spiritually?

I don't have the answer and honestly, I don't even have a revelational entry to share with you. I do, however, have a thought passed on to me by the pastor: "Jesus knows who you are, knows everything about you, and loves you anyway."

Think about that for a while; be aware of how it makes you feel; remember it in your days to come.
